Phoenix is an exotic looking orange fellow with a funny face and striking eyes. We are speculating whether he may have some Abyssinian DNA. He is quite the character and knows no stranger, demanding attention from anyone who comes into his room. He is also a talker and quick to let you know when dinner is late!
Phoenix was rescued from behind a workplace where the employees were kindly feeding him along with other stray cats. Because he is so social, it is possible that he was a family pet that was abandoned or lost.
Phoenix co-exists with other cats in his room though he likes to rule the roost. There were a few brief kerfluffles when he first arrived that have resolved into he’s the boss and they are allowed their own safe spaces. We feel that after an adjustment period, he should be fine with other cats. There is a dog in his foster home but he has not had any interaction with the dog.
His foster mom can easily scoop him up and he is an ankle winder and loves chin and ear rubs, but doesn’t seem to care for being carried around. He is curious, active and fearless and will be great company. He should do fine with cat savvy kids.
If you think Phoenix may be a good fit into your heart and home, please contact his foster mom, Laura at (540) 272-3506 (cell).
Phoenix has been neutered, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, has been treated for worms, fleas, and ear mites, and is current on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $130 More about Phoenix - LJGood with Cats, Apartment OK, Affectionate
