Elliott (DMH smoky black male with gold eyes) If you are seeking the “whole package” sort of kitten, look no further!
Elliot is a playful, affectionate, and confident kitten with a huge personality. From the very beginning of his time at FFLAR, he has been the rock star of his foster home. Nothing seems to faze Elliot. He doesn’t know a stranger and will open up to anyone he comes into contact with. He and his brother E.T. were orphaned neonate kittens who had to be bottle-fed and nursed back to health. He was literally raised from birth by a young foster volunteer who cared for him and his brother around the clock, shaping him into a very people-oriented cat. He prefers to be with his humans all the time and dashes out of his bedroom every chance he gets to hurl himself into the fray of things. He is very patient and is happy to be handled often. His foster mom affectionately refers to him as “tickle monster” because of his tendency to curl up right into her neck as she sleeps.
Elliot always comes when called and will gladly follow you all around the house, zooming between and around your feet. He will greet you every time you come home, running all the way to the door to say hi and to tell you all about his adventures. He skids to a stop when he comes nose to nose with the dog, but is cautiously open to territorial negotiation. He is not an overly vocal cat, but part of his charm is his extremely expressive face, with his intent, stunning gaze. He looks right into your heart with those liquid gold eyes. He also has a wonderfully loud, deep purr that is sure to melt all your worries away when you’re holding him. He is eager to please his family and will bond with you very quickly. Elliott needs to be in a home where he will get lots of love and attention. He will not thrive in a home where he is alone for long periods of time or where he would be banished from the bedroom at night.
An ideal home for Elliott would include his brother, E.T. He and E.T. were raised together and are buddies. If adopted together, they will be great companions, both to each other and to the very lucky family that they become a part of. However, their foster mom does not think it is absolutely necessary for them to go together because both kittens have strong, confident personalities. Elliot has been neutered, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, is current on her vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. His adoption fee is $130, cash or check only.
If you feel that there is a safe place in your heart and home for E.T. and Elliot, please contact their foster mom, Laura, at (540) 272-3506 (cell).
